Well here we are with only two terms left!
Time has been flying and students have been working furiously. We have summed up our Term 3 work - please look for SeeSaw updates by next week. Those American Revolution research papers are just about done and I'm on to grading them. Thank you for your patience. We had a wonderful time at Job World. Students were happy to have their freedom to choose and visit the job sites they were interested in. They ran from place to place and were attentive in their attendance. It was great to hear students discuss what they enjoyed as well as what they learned. Please click on the Photos tab at the top of the page to see some pics. This week we will begin our Term 4 work. As we do so I must encourage all parents to be vigilant in ensuring that students read daily. Students should be reading AR books, or those approved by me during this stage of the year. I want to know that they are keeping their 30 minute per day agreement. Students should be taking AT LEAST one AR test per week. Dedication is key. Students also must visit XtraMath each day - M - F. It only takes a few minutes and the benefits make it worthwhile. Finally, I want to remind parents that students are marked late when they arrive after 8:00. Too many students are wandering in between 8:01 and 8:10. This is not acceptable. On occasion, excuses are understandable - but not often. Please take care to make sure your child arrives in class on time. A late student begins the day off task. Finally, school will be closed for students on Friday, March 10. Enjoy the day guys!! I'll be here... toiling away... :(
