Greetings students and parents!
I hope you all had a relaxing spring break. Time to get back to work. We only have one school week left until Battle of the Books. I hope students had ample time to read and reread their expert books. The majority of homework this week will be dedicated to preparing for Saturday's battles. We will be doing more than just reading this week though. In Social Studies, students have chosen the countries they would like to research for their country projects. In Science, we will continue to work on classifying organisms, and begin work on the next phase of our Term 4 science project - this time, we will be making a book! In Math, we will be furiously focusing on the fundamentals of fantastic fractions in a less frustrating manner! Phew. I had a sudden alliteration attack. Finally, during our writing blocks, we will continue to focus on theme in readers responses. I thoroughly enjoyed reading our student responses to the Three Little Pigs. More fables this week! I wish you all the best and look forward to working with our students throughout the week. Cheers! Mr. Baker p.s. Don't forget to visit the pictures page for updated photos, as well as the Math Tab for math help with fractions to be updated throughout the week.
